Founded in 2024 by Philani Ngema, IW TECH SHOP was born from real-life experience. While searching for essential tech gear in his hometown of Mkhondo, Philani encountered a reality familiar to many South Africans scarce product options, the need to travel long distances, and unnecessary expenses just to access basic items.

Rather than accepting these limitations, he transformed frustration into purpose.

That moment ignited a bigger vision: to build a platform where people in remote, rural, and underserved areas could access the same quality products and convenience as those in major cities. What started as a simple idea has grown into a dynamic and inclusive platform serving customers across South Africa, with equal commitment to both urban and rural communities.
